A floating Mac timer that logs time to your Linear issues.

Overview

Front of Mind is a small floating timer for your Mac. Pick a Linear issue, press play, and your time lands on the issue, without a browser tab or another dashboard to remember.

How it works

The pill sits on top of your work and shows your current issue, its status and the time. Each time you pause, Front of Mind adds your total to the issue as a Time tracked card, one per person, so the team sees who spent what.

Session notes are posted as comments with the time. From the drawer you can switch issues, change status, project and other fields, create issues and projects, and @mention teammates. With Pro, everyone's time comes together in a team dashboard.

Configure

Download Front of Mind for Mac from keepfrontofmind.com and open it.
Click the task name on the pill, then Connect with Linear. Approve access in your browser and check the code matches the app.
Pick an issue and press play. Your time appears on the issue when you pause.
For team reports, open Reports… from the menu bar and sign in to Pro. Each workspace gets 14 days free.
