Terms of service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Front of Mind: the Mac app, the website at keepfrontofmind.com and the Pro team dashboard. Front of Mind is made by Adapt Studio (“we”). By using it you agree to these terms. If you use it for your company, you agree on its behalf.
The service
Front of Mind is a time tracker for Linear. The Mac app runs on your computer and talks to Linear directly. Pro adds a web dashboard where your team's time is combined.
Your account
You connect and sign in with your Linear account. Your Linear workspace is your team: people in the same workspace who sign in to Pro share its dashboard. Keep your Mac and Linear account secure; you're responsible for what happens under them.
Pro subscriptions
- Each Linear workspace gets a 14-day free trial of Pro, starting when someone in it first signs in. No card is needed for the trial.
- After the trial, Pro is a monthly subscription billed through Stripe, charged per active person: someone who logged time in the last 30 days. The number of people is updated daily and applies from the next invoice.
- Prices are shown on the website before you subscribe and may include tax where it applies.
- You can cancel at any time from Manage billing in the dashboard. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part-months unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, we'll retry for a while before Pro switches off. Your data is kept.
Acceptable use
Don't use Front of Mind to break the law, to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, to overload or attack the service, or to copy or resell it. We may suspend access that does.
Your data
Your time entries and notes are yours. We only use them to run the service. See the privacy policy for what is stored and where. Linear's own terms apply to your Linear data.
Availability
We work to keep Front of Mind running and your time safe: the app saves every entry on your Mac first. But the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and may sometimes be unavailable or change.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the website or by email before it applies. Using Front of Mind after that means you accept the new terms.
